Title Sequences , Opening Sequence Design

As a design-based animation and motion graphics studio, Jumbla specialises in the development of cinematic broadcast title sequences.

These typically provide an insight into the program or game that follows.

“They’re usually 30-second plus pieces that we have a bit of fun with. You could include elements of the show, but it doesn’t have to be a mirror image of what the show looks like,” Jumbla Creative Director Callan Woolcock said.

“They can be a bit abstract, a bit more thought provoking. It's about telling a short story that introduces you to the bigger world, like a teaser, by designing intriguing and captivating frames.”

Key benefits of quality title sequences

  • Set the tone for the content that follows
  • Introduce key elements or talent
  • Engage viewers from the outset

Testimonials

We produce an array of content for major broadcasters, and need a supplier of animation who can turn things around quickly and cost effectively. The whole Jumbla experience is a great one. Very professional from start to finish, with the perfect balance of being able to have a bit of fun too. The crew’s communication is upbeat, positive and very can do, which is great. The final animation for our series opening titles far surpassed our expectations and brief.

We had a vision in our head about what new titles could look like around our series - we had had the original titles created by Jumbla for three seasons. The 3D part of the animation was important to us, but we were unsure how to translate this to a new concept. Jumbla took the brief and ran with it, showing a solid understanding of our series and our viewers - then came back with the results, which we love! We would have never thought to transition the scenes like they did and the pace in which the titles run is really complementary to our show.

Communication was probably one of the best parts of the process. We didn’t have to chase Jumbla for updates, we came to work and waiting for us was a quick and simple email updating us on the timeline and the process, which kept our minds at ease.

We will be certainly flying the Jumbla flag to our colleagues. If you haven’t already, then jump on board - they’ll soon become your preferred supplier for motion graphics and animation.

Jumbla are a pleasure to work with. Great response rate, great communication skills. The creative dialogue has been fun, professional, and productive; and their willingness to embrace changes in direction, to interpret those changes and to put them into practice has been first rate throughout.

The mood, tone and finish of Clique's titles are entirely at one with our intentions for the show. Jumbla grasped our ambition from the first conversation, and also worked with us on minute detail as we exchanged notes in the process - they also worked very fast! I wouldn’t hesitate to work with them again.
