3D Motion Designer, Full Time

We are looking to hire an all-star 3D Motion Designer to join our Melbourne team! We offer flexible working conditions – whether it be work from home, in the studio, or a bit of both.

To be successful in this role, the candidate would need to have working experience in the industry and have amazing knowledge with all things motion design, and strong in Cinema 4D.

The main focus of the role is to join our team working as a 3D all-rounder on a wide range of projects and styles, along with other general motion design tasks such as compositing, designing and animating. Any extra skills are welcome.

Someone looking to have a greater involvement in the creative process and looking to help shape the studio and improve on our work, as opposed to just being a small cog in the wheel would be an ideal candidate. As would a freelancer looking to get into a team environment with a more structured work life balance.

Provided you have some working experience in the industry, we are opening this role up to all levels of experience and will decided on the best candidate based on folio, personal strengths and general attitude. Wage will reflect this.

About You

  • Industry experience. Freelancers should apply but studio experience is a definite advantage.

  • An amazing showreel/Portfolio that displays a diverse skillset in all things 3D and motion graphics.

  • Competent and diverse 3D skills, preferably in Cinema 4D / Redshift although our pipeline is flexible should we find the right applicant. A high level of knowledge in Adobe CC software (After Effects, Photoshop) is a must.

  • A 'can do' attitude, willing to pitch in at all stages of a project to help the team.

  • A deep passion and knowledge of the animation industry.

  • An understanding of storytelling, camera moves, timing and flow in animation.

  • A design eye. Able to work within brand guidelines and create original looks and styles.

  • A thorough understanding of the production process.

  • The ability to understand client considerations, and answer client briefs.
