For their Global Executive MBA product, Monash picked global agency Y&R to take them to market. The concept revolved around the premise that the degree was designed for those who recognised the modern world was borderless - and the importance of potential students becoming part of this global movement.
Jumbla worked with Y&R’s creative team to bring their concept to life. We agreed the style should be linear to provide a digital feel to the flow of data depicted. We used grids, grain, particles and various other 3D effects to enhance the detail seen.
The final piece was created entirely in After Effects using plugins such as Particular, Stardust and Element 3D.
“The job was storyboarded and styled in less than a week. We then created multiple frames inside After Effects. With only a few minor changes to the story and styles, we were able to get started,” Jumbla Executive Creative Director Callan Woolcock said.
“We then blocked out the animation in a matter of days. Once that was done it was simply a matter of adding the detail we had previously created in the style frames.”
