'Keep it simple'... 'Less is more'... 'Show don’t tell' - all of these principles ring true in this TV commercial we created in partnership with our friends at Ogilvy.
The upbeat video aims to inspire people to pursue their career ambitions, even if the road ahead seems intimidating.
Rather than getting the narrator to 'say' what Acquire Learning does, we instead opted to 'show it' - by swiftly introducing the viewer to three friendly characters: the career advisor, the career champ and career hunter.
We wanted the video to perpetually 'move', with the characters and assets flying on and off the screen (almost “dancing”) in time with the music.
We like to think the video is a good example of what you can achieve even when confined to just 15 seconds. Through nifty use of 2D animation - including inventive transitions, vibrant use of colour and harmoniously animated characters - a short video can be both engaging and persuasive.
